Comparing the remaining four fixtures for Scudetto rivals AC Milan and Inter

AC Milan and Inter are locked in a battle for the Scudetto that keeps having twists and turns, and the latest one came last night against Bologna.

Inter’s defeat last night at the Stadio Dall’Ara means that the Rossoneri and the Nerazzurri have played the same number of games and the red half of the city are leading by two points, with four games left in an intense and unpredictable season.

MilanNews writes how next weekend Milan host a Fiorentina side who have suffered three consecutive defeats (against Juventus in the Coppa Italia, plus Salernitana and Udinese in Serie A) including a 4-0 loss last night. That game kicks off at 15:00 CEST on Sunday, while Inter will play away at Udinese at 18:00 CEST against a side that inflicted the hammering on La Viola.

Matchday 36 will see Milan go to Hellas Verona, while Inter instead hosts Andreazzoli’s Empoli and will play two days earlier than Stefano Pioli’s side because they have a Coppa Italia final against Juventus the following Tuesday to fit in.

The penultimate game of the season will see Milan’s final home game against Atalanta, one that will be very tense given the recent questionable home record against La Dea and the fact they are pushing for a European spot. Inter host Cagliari after that who most likely will still be fighting for survival.

Finally, the last round of the season sees Milan travel to Reggio Emilia to face Sassuolo who have already beaten the Rossoneri this year. Inter are at San Siro against Sampdoria who might also be fighting for survival.
