Agent claims ‘all the top teams’ in Italy want Man Utd’s Rashford

Italian football agent Roberto De Fanti has claimed that all of the top teams in Italy are considering a move for Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford.

Whilst writing in his column for Caught Offside, De Fanti touched on a number of major topics in the transfer market at the moment, which is hotting up nicely.

As he explains, the top sides in both Italy and Spain have been enquiring about the English forward who is going through a tough patch of form. Given it is an area of the pitch that Milan want to strengthen, it can be assumed they are one of the teams.

“All the top sides in Spain and Italy have been keen to enquire about Marcus Rashford’s availability and the possibility of him leaving United this summer.”

The valuation that he states United have of the player could put an end to the Rossoneri’s interest in the forward anyway.

“Prior to any discussions, a valuation of around £40m, maybe £50m, seemed fair, but it turns out the attacker would cost a lot more – between £70m and £80m.”

It is believed that the high price tag is essentially to dissuade anyone from making a bid that could turn the players’ head.

“United are confident a club is unlikely to pay that, especially off the back of a poor season, so they’re almost certain he will stay.

“They are happy for Rashford to stay too, also because they know that if they did sell him, they would need to replace him and that is not a priority, definitely not this summer anyway.”
