Journalist claims Milan and Juventus are in a ‘tug of war’ over Berardi

One of the positions that AC Milan are keen on bolstering this summer is the right-wing, in need of a more prolific player for next season. Several players have been linked with them, including Domenico Berardi.

The Sassuolo captain had the best season of his career in 2021/22, registering a whopping 15 goals and 17 assists for the Neroverdi in the league. At the age of 27, he’s now ready for the leap to a bigger club.

As reported by the journalist Enzo Bucchioni in his latest mercato column for TMW, Milan and Juventus are both interested in Berardi. He stated that it might not be a war between the clubs, but at least a ‘good tug of war’.

Berardi undoubtedly has qualities that could help Milan but his hefty price tag of €40m isn’t in line with the Rossoneri’s project. Therefore, the feeling is that Juventus have a slight advantage in this race. Also because the winger is an Inter fan.
