CM: Kessie booed at San Siro as frustration continues to mount over his future

The tide seems to be quickly turning regarding Franck Kessie as he was booed during the 4-0 win against Lazio in the Coppa Italia quarter-final, a report claims.

According to Calciomercato.com, Kessie was jeered and whistled when the teams were read out at San Siro ahead of the cup quarter-final clash, but after a solid performance and a goal those boos turned to applause at full time, especially considering that when he scored he celebrated underneath the Curva.

The Ivorian midfielder is going through a complicated period in what is likely to be his last five months at Milan, especially with regards to his relationship with the Milan fans who are increasingly inclined not to support him anymore.

The negotiations over the renewal of his contract which expire in June have not made progress and are now completely stopped despite the fact that the parties have been trying to reach an agreement for over a year. The distance is still wide and the possibility of another Gianluigi Donnarumma situation is increasingly concrete.

The club’s policy is firm and solid, and the talks over the renewals of Theo Hernandez, Bennacer and Leao have confirmed how the club are willing to invest to secure their jewels, but within reasonable boundaries.

It is similar to Donnarumma because Kessie’s future will remain in doubt until the end, with the player never really clear in communications and above all with the management, and the fans realise he is taking them for a ride.
