CM: Kessie booed at San Siro as frustration continues to mount over his future

By Oliver Fisher -

The tide seems to be quickly turning regarding Franck Kessie as he was booed during the 4-0 win against Lazio in the Coppa Italia quarter-final, a report claims.

According to Calciomercato.com, Kessie was jeered and whistled when the teams were read out at San Siro ahead of the cup quarter-final clash, but after a solid performance and a goal those boos turned to applause at full time, especially considering that when he scored he celebrated underneath the Curva.

The Ivorian midfielder is going through a complicated period in what is likely to be his last five months at Milan, especially with regards to his relationship with the Milan fans who are increasingly inclined not to support him anymore.

The negotiations over the renewal of his contract which expire in June have not made progress and are now completely stopped despite the fact that the parties have been trying to reach an agreement for over a year. The distance is still wide and the possibility of another Gianluigi Donnarumma situation is increasingly concrete.

The club’s policy is firm and solid, and the talks over the renewals of Theo Hernandez, Bennacer and Leao have confirmed how the club are willing to invest to secure their jewels, but within reasonable boundaries.

It is similar to Donnarumma because Kessie’s future will remain in doubt until the end, with the player never really clear in communications and above all with the management, and the fans realise he is taking them for a ride.

  1. Seems a bit childish at this point, just be thankful for how much he’s helped improve the team and the great job he’s doing this season then wish him well for his future elsewhere. No point getting on his back whilst he’s playing well.

    1. He hasn’t helped the team this season. Only occupying the starting 11 from people who deserve to play and actually WANT to play for the Rossoneri.

Childish? Lying to fans is childish.

  2. I agree with you though, but not everyone will see it that way…
I for my part, just want him to fucus on all matches till the season ends. if he stays fine if he goes I’m actually prepared for either
I just want to know his stand, if he’s in or out then we move on with a new replacement… Milan was before him with great hands and will be after him if he leave..
But as much as it stands I still love kessie as long as he wares the rosseneri’s shirt…..

  3. summed up Kessie #1 Rossoneri second……….Rossoneri #1 ,Theo, Tonali,Tomori, Calabria second, but they are O.K. with that, takes more than one to lift up a trophy.
