Tuttosport: Kessie goes back on his word – ‘clear manifestation of intolerance’ emerges

For the first time in the past couple of matches, the San Siro crowd has vocally expressed their displeasure towards Franck Kessie.

As Tuttosport (via MilanNews) points out, the match with Sampdoria made it clear that the last months of the relationship between the Ivorian and Milan could take a different turn compared to the Gianluigi Donnarumma and Hakan Calhanoglu cases as he was jeered when the names were read and also when he came on as a substitute.

It was ‘a clear manifestation of intolerance’ that had not been aimed at Donnarumma and Calhanoglu and that is probably because those two had not completely closed to the idea of signing a new deal right up until the end of the season, while in this case a farewell seems inevitable.

Kessie has already decided to leave the Rossoneri at the end of the season, going against his own words of love for the club at the Olympics. Pioli highlighted the negative aspects of booing in his post-match comments because unity is needed if the Scudetto and Coppa Italia dreams are to be achieved, but telling the fans to contain their anger may fall on deaf ears.
