Krunic the best-ranked Milan player in one key stat – fifth in the league

Rade Krunic has started this season tremendously well, to the surprise of many, covering for the absences of Ismael Bennacer and Franck Kessie. And the stats only confirm that Stefano Pioli has a lot to think about.

The Bosnian has played in the midfield tandem, along with Sandro Tonali, and he has been very healthy for Milan thus far. He has done most of the ‘dirty work’ and hasn’t been as mistake-prone with the ball as we saw last season.

As revealed by the official Serie A website, Krunic is the Rossoneri player that has covered the most kilometres in the first two games of the season. And if you look at the entire league, he comes in at fifth place which is indeed impressive.

In two games, the former Empoli man has had an average of 11.6km covered per game, which is quite good. Of course, it’s only natural that he moves a lot given his position, but still.

1: Morten Thorsby – 12,216 km

2: Nicolò Rovella – 12.107 km

3: Samuele Ricci – 11,926 km

4: Remo Freuler – 11,607 km

5: Rade Krunic – 11,599 km

6: Gianluca Busio – 11,504 km

7: Walace – 11,463 km

8: Bryan Cristante – 11,416 km

9: Milan Badelj – 11,356 km

10: Pasquale Mazzocchi – 11.353 km
