GdS: Leao drawing comparisons to Henry and Weah – he is Milan’s €60m+ talisman

It would be fair to say that there is a case of Rafael Leao mania gripping AC Milan at the moment thanks to the recent displays of the electric winger.

La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanNews) focuses on the Portuguese talent in this morning’s edition of their paper, underlining how his value has grown a lot in the last year as he now has a market value of at least €60m.

There is no doubting that the 22-year-old has become the real top player of Milan as he has managed to combine the skills everyone knew he had – such as speed and dribbling – with more awareness, a more clinical side in front of goal and perhaps most importantly some consistency.

There are lots of bold comparisons being attributed at the moment, with the paper mentioning the likes of Thierry Henry, Kylian Mbappe (who of course seems to be from another planet, even if some characteristics are similar) and even George Weah for his ability to glide past players.

Milan have a real gem on their hands, one that hit double figures in goals for the season and is hitting form at the right time in the Scudetto push.
