MN: Milan not stopping after Theo’s renewal with two more extensions close – the latest

By Oliver Fisher -

The Milan management are not stopping with just the renewal of Theo Hernandez and are working to renew two more talents they signed in summer 2019.

As reported by Antonio Vitiello of MilanNews on Twitter, the Rossoneri leadership are working ‘with confidence’ to renew the contract of Rafael Leao, whose current deal is set to expire in 2024 after he signed a five-year contract after his arrival from Lille.

Negotiations are proceeding on the basis of a pay rise to €4m per year plus bonuses and a contract extension until 2026. With the goal against Sampdoria he netted his seventh goal in Serie A, so Maldini and Massara want to tie the Portuguese winger down long term.

However, Vitiello adds that Leao’s announcement will not be the next one to arrive after Theo’s renewal was confirmed on Friday, because official status of Ismael Bennacer’s new deal is expected to come before that of the forward.
