L’Equipe: Milan-linked striker Icardi joins Galatasaray permanently in €10m deal

Mauro Icardi has been linked with a move to AC Milan and while he remains on the wish list, the Rossoneri have other priorities. In the meantime, the striker has joined Galatasaray permanently.

The Argentine international joined Galatasaray on an initial loan deal last summer and as reported by L’Equipe (via SempreMilan.it), the Turkish side will now redeem him for €10m. Paris Saint-Germain are thus out of the picture.

Icardi has just one year left on his deal with the French side and that’s why the price tag is so low. This past season, he scored 22 goals and assisted an additional 7 in 24 league appearances, which has attracted the attention of big clubs.

The 30-year-old could still move this summer, there’s no doubt, as Galatasaray could potentially double their investment straight away. Milan are keeping tabs on the situation, as was reported by Tuttosport yesterday, but they have other priorities for that position (such as Mehdi Taremi).
