Longo: Milan plotting January attempt as Montpellier reveal striker’s price tag

AC Milan could reinforce the squad with a striker already in January, following the disappointing performances of Luka Jovic. According to a report, they are preparing a concrete attempt for Montpellier Akor Adams.

Olivier Giroud is currently serving a two-game suspension and Noah Okafor is recovering from an injury. As a result, Jovic will be the starting striker against Fiorentina tonight. The Serbian is yet to score a goal for the Rossoneri, prompting the management to look for a January option.

As reported by Daniele Longo of Calciomercato.com, Milan are increasingly determined to make a move for Akor Adams. Montpellier have slapped a price tag of €15m on the Nigerian, but there is room for negotiating and this is encouraging for the Rossoneri.

Adams has scored seven goals in eleven league appearances for the French side this season, having arrived from the Norwegian side Lillestrøm in the summer. He could thus go from Eliteserien to Serie A and Milan in just six months, which would be impressive.

In the meantime, Stefano Pioli is relying on Jovic to find form again and tonight, he will also have the 15-year-old Francesco Camarda on the bench. It remains to be seen if the youngster will get an appearance off the bench.
