Adli was signed by Milan last summer for a mere €8m but that was because they agreed to send him back on loan to Bordeaux for one season. In other words, the training session on Monday will be the midfielder’s first with the club.
Pobega has been part of the Rossoneri’s first team before, having come through the youth ranks, and Pioli believes a lot in him for the upcoming season. He did tremendously well with Torino and his versatility could come in handy.
As explained by Andrea Longoni in his latest editorial for MilanNews, the return of these two players cannot be underestimated. Adli and Pobega will be very important Pioli and Milan who want to focus on youth: young, brilliant and with excellent prospects.
The pre-season could give important indications with regards to what Milan need to do on the market. Pobega could potentially replace Franck Kessie, while Adli has played in the No.10 role many times before.
