Longoni: Milan remain vigilant on promising Santos striker amid expiring contract

Milan are close to securing the arrival of Olivier Giroud, who will be the deputy for Zlatan Ibrahimovic, but they might not stop there. In fact, a young striker could also be brought in, a report claims.

According to Andrea Longo, in his latest for MilanNews, Stefano Pioli will be able to be a lot more comfortable for the signing of Giroud. Having said that, the management also wants to add a young striker to the squad for the future.

Kaio Jorge, a 19-year-old Brazilian, is an option for the Rossoneri as he would be a lost-cost signing. His contract will expire in January and Milan could wait until then, or secure him for a bargain price already this summer.

The youngster would be able to learn a lot from Giroud and Ibrahimovic, while also getting some playing time here and there. With the former two not exactly getting any younger, it could be a wise investment for the future.
