Mike Maignan has had a season of ups and downs, and this may be enough for AC Milan to look away from the Frenchman.

In the past few years, it has been more a case of inconsistency with Milan and Maignan than consistency. Of course, there is no denying the Frenchman’s quality, he remains one of the better goalkeepers in the world.
The caveat, though, is the little asterisk next to that, which says ‘when he is at his best’. Unfortunately for both, this has often not been the case.
It has been a season of highs and lows for Maignan. Experiencing lows in Rotterdam – the 1-0 against Feyenoord, where his mistake was costly – then also the games against Torino and Cagliari, as Corriere dello Sport (via Pianeta Milan) write.
For this reason, it becomes more and more difficult to offer him star-like figures. Instead, it becomes easier to listen to offers, which could be as little as €20 million this summer.
Should a departure be preferred, the club would look to two alternatives immediately: Lucas Chevalier, who plays for Lille, as Maignan did, and also Marco Carnesecchi. It is a situation which should be resolved shortly. Indeed, it is unclear which way it will go, especially with renewal talks not restarting.
