AC Milan are expected to close an agreement with Liverpool striker Divock Origi over personal terms in the next week, reports claim.
According to Calciomercato.com, Origi is a specific choice by Paolo Maldini who is a believer in his qualities, while the Belgian has already communicated to Liverpool his intention not to renew his contract expiring in July.
The 26-year-old is enthusiastic about the possibility of playing at San Siro with Milan and becoming a protagonist, while Maldini and Ricky Massara have already found the basis of an agreement with Origi’s agency over a multi-year deal worth €4m net per season.
Now the Rossoneri want to get pen on paper by taking advantage of the international break, meaning these could be decisive days in the quest for a new attacking reinforcement. MilanNews add that there will be new contacts to define the operation but the negotiations are advanced, and the choice to go for a free transfer will allow Milan to invest in other departments.
