CM: Milan want to extend full-back’s deal amid Man City and PSG interest – Maldini’s plan

AC Milan plan to reward Theo Hernandez for his performances by doubling his salary but it may not be enough to secure an agreement, a report claims.

It is a positive moment for Theo on and off the field at the moment as he has returning to the pitch after testing negative for Covid-19, Milan are top of the league and his girlfriend Zoe Cristofoli is pregnant with his child, as the couple confirmed on social media last night.

Calciomercato.com writes how the French full-back’s future could still be Rossonero for a long time, but at the moment there are no certainties. The player is happy at Milan and feels valued, which is important, but sooner or later his contract situation must be addressed.

His current June 2024 deadline is quite far away so Milan are in no hurry, but there are several clubs – above all Manchester City and Paris Saint-Germain – able to guarantee him a salary much higher than the current €1.5m net per season he gets.

That is why Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara are moving to extend the agreement and the idea is to double his salary, but it is a move that may not be enough despite the lack of time pressure. The report finishes by stating how at Milan everyone is useful, but no one is irreplaceable.
