Mediaset: Milan looking at Isaksen, Reijnders and Dia to fill three gaps in squad

AC Milan are working on the signing of a right winger, a midfielder and a centre-forward but they are having to be fluid in their pursuits.

As Claudio Raimondi reports for SportMediaset (via MilanNews) this afternoon, Samuel Chukwueze is fading as an idea because there is currently a €10m distance between what Milan want to pay and what Villarreal want.

That is why Gustav Isaksen is heating up as a potential alternative option, with the two clubs in negotiations. The Danish side have asked Milan if they would let the 22-year-old stay until the Conference League play-offs.

The main target for the midfield is still Tijjani Reijnders, a player who AZ Alkmaar values  at €25m. The Rossoneri have gone up to €22m with their latest offer, but the turning point could come from the Dutch midfielder.

Reijnders really wants the move, and seems to be willing to give up a little bit of his €2m net per season as verbally agreed in his four-year contract to allow Milan to further raise its offer.

In the search for a striker, Alvaro Morata and Mehdi Taremi are complicated options while Gianluca Scamacca’s candidacy remains alive.

Boulaye Dia is one to watch, and until July 20 the Senegal international can be signed by paying the release clause of €25m, but after that date it will be necessary to negotiate.
