Mediaset: Milan abandon right-back pursuit as Kalulu impresses in training

AC Milan have been linked with several right-backs in the last few weeks, especially Emerson Royal, but it seems they could abandon the pursuit. According to a report, Pierre Kalulu has impressed enough in training for that to happen.

Emerson Royal has been at the top of Milan’s wish list for quite some time and an offer was even made to Tottenham. However, at least for now, the distance between offer and demand seems to be too big and there is no agreement in sight.

According to Mediaset, as cited by MilanNews, the Rossoneri could even abandon their right-back pursuit as Pualo Fonseca has been impressed by Kalulu in training. The Frenchman, who had a tough last season, is eager to prove himself and it could seemingly pay off.

Instead of a right-back, Milan have shifted focus to the centre-back position and Strahinja Pavlovic is currently the main target. An agreement is being sought with RB Salzburg and next week, more updates on the matter should arrive.

As for Kalulu, he struggled with various injuries last season and given his potential, it would be fantastic to see him blossom under Fonseca’s guidance.
