GdS: Meeting over Ibrahimovic’s future scheduled – what Investcorp have in mind

It has not been the best of seasons for Zlatan Ibrahimovic as he has struggled to stay fit for anything more than a few games at a time, barely seeing the field in 2022.

La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanNews) reports that Ibrahimovic is seriously thinking about hanging up his boots and a meeting with the Rossoneri management, which should still involve Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara despite the rumours of an imminent takeover.

The idea of the talks will be to be realistic and try to understand how much Ibra can still give to Milan at a sporting level, and even Investcorp could decide to keep him around because they know the brand image he has, but his salary will have to be drastically reduced and the player will have to guarantee an acceptable physical condition.

Furthermore, this would not exclude intervention on the market to reinforce the attacking department, though all talks are still postponed to the end of the season while the hope remains that Zlatan can be decisive in the final five games of the season.
