GdS: Milan expected to open with €16m bid in talks with Real Madrid over playmaker

AC Milan want to keep Brahim Diaz beyond his loan spell and are planning to negotiate a discount with Real Madrid, a report claims.

This morning’s edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport (as seen below) recalls that Brahim Diaz is on loan from Real Madrid until the end of the season, with Milan having the possibility of signing him permanently for €22m but Los Blancos having a €27m buy-back.

The Rossoneri management are planning in advance and have a clear strategy: to buy the playmaker at a discounted rate. Brahim for his part wants to stay at the club and that is certainly an assist to Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara in the talks to keep him.

Milan will offer €16m plus bonuses for Brahim Diaz and there is a meeting expected with Real Madrid sooner rather than later to iron out what the future of the 23-year-old will be.

Meanwhile, Brahim’s international future will soon be clarified. Morocco have been trying to persuade him to declare for them but Spain coach Luis De la Fuente will make his first call-ups tomorrow and the former Manchester City man has a good chance of making the list.
