MilanNews writes that Pioli’s first request to Brahim Diaz is not to consistently score but more to perform the function of being the glue and the link between the midfield and the attack. The Spaniard has always been capable of dynamic dribbles and exciting movements, but with the absences of the likes of Rebic, Leao and Giroud, Milan need more from him.
In 18 games across Serie A and the Champions League, the No.10 has scored 4 goals and has added 4 assists, proving to be a very important man for Milan’s game. However, he has not scored in over two months now (his last goal was against Spezia on September 25) and he has 2 assists in his last 9 games. A turnaround in form is needed, to show that he is fully over Covid and can contribute regularly.
