CM: Milan could replace Chelsea loanee with 18-year-old midfielder from Ligue 2

AC Milan are planning how their midfield will look ahead of next season and the future of Tiemoue Bakayoko has been thrust into uncertainty, a report claims.

Bakayoko rejoined AC Milan in the summer via the formula of a two-year loan with option to buy but so far he has struggled to show that he can provide reliable depth and cover, having made some mistakes and overall just not finding the right rhythm.

According to Calciomercato.com, Milan are making reflections on Bakayoko given that he has probably been the only discordant note in midfield this season, with the suggestion being that his loan could be terminated and he may well be replaced by a young player for the future.

There were negotiations conducted in the summer for Warren Bondo – an 18-year-old currently playing as AS Nancy – and his name may be back in fashion in the coming weeks, especially if it becomes apparent that Bakayoko has no space in Pioli’s plans.
