Contrary to reports in Brazil, AC Milan have not raised their offer to Corinthians to try and sign the young talent André.
On Monday afternoon, ESPN Brazil had spoken of a new bid to the Brazilian side to secure André: a proposal worth €22m, broken down into €18m as the fixed amount and €4m in bonuses. That was to acquire the 70% of the rights that Corinthians hold, with André waiving his 30%.

The report claims that Corinthians had taken their time evaluating the offer, amid talk of Benfica and Atlético Madrid submitting a bid. A fee had previously been agreed, but the president Osmar Stabile did not give the final green light despite, despite documents being drafted.
Milan walk away
As MilanNews are now reporting, ESPN are wide of the mark. Milan have fully abandoned the pursuit of André, who seemed close to wearing the Rossoneri shirt at one point before the soap opera started to unfold.
After the agreement reached between AC Milan and the Timao, their president decided to block the deal and change the terms, something that the Italian club’s hierarchy, so much so that the deal is now off the table completely.
There had also been talk of legal action through FIFA previously, while Fabrizio Romano had spoken of an ultimatum set for the next few days. In the end, Milan have decided that he isn’t worth the trouble.

What clowns? They made an offer and Corinthian’s board accepted only for the president to turn around and say no due to social media pressure. There is only one clown here, and it’s Corinthians. If he’s worth more they should have asked for that from the get go.

No big deal really.
We wouldn’t have gotten him before next season anywas, so we were not actually in a hurry and there were too many questions marks about him to justify the price tag Corinthians were asking for.
I’d rather we spend this money on players who can make an immediate impact.
