One of the players that AC Milan have no issue parting with this summer is Ismael Bennacer. However, they are facing problems with that.
Milan, so far, have done a good job of getting different players out of the door this summer, but there are still some that require shifting. On that list is Bennacer, who the Rossoneri are done with. So, they need to find a new club.

Marseille had no interest in paying the pre-agreed fee in his loan deal, so he returned to Milanello this summer. Now, it is a case of finding someone else who will pay that figure.
Bennacer’s refusal
Until now, it has been difficult, with the Diavolo only receiving one bid. That came from Al Ittihad, the Saudi Pro League team, and €20 million was placed on the table, according to Gazzetta dello Sport, via MilanPress. An offer more generous than the one sought through the loan deal.
Nevertheless, there have been worries about the player’s will, and today, they have been confirmed.

The club have received a ‘resounding rejection’ from the midfielder, with him not wanting to move to Saudi Arabia. In itself, this is a shock, considering the midfielder formerly had a ‘desire’ to head to the Middle East.
Bennacer is said not to be in a rush, but that same luxury cannot be afforded to Milan.

bennacer is annoying me now after being apprecaitive of his service! his not worth 10M SO 20 WAS SUPER GENEROUS and he denied?
please make him play in futuro if he doesnt leave
Why should he accept? 10M or 20M, he doesn’t see that money and it he doesn’t want to move to Saudi Arabia why should he?
Who wants to live in Saudi though? I don’t blame him
Not many of us perhaps. And it’s ofc his choice.
But it’s not that dramatic for someone whose religion allies with much of the lifestyle. And they’re no doubt offering better wages than he’ll get elsewhere. Plus as we saw in CWC the league standard is now somewhat competitive so he wouldn’t be sacrificing his international selection.
He doesn’t need to go to satisfy Milan but for his career, he has no future with us so may aswell go somewhere lucrative and decent standard. Rather than what, force Milan to accept a 2mn loan deal from Marseille? Surely but then he runs the risk of a year in Futuro and possibly not selected by Algeria for the FIFA WC next summer.
He holds most of the cards but not all of them…
he wanted to live there before…. or at least move
Says who? You spoke to him or his family?
According to some this fan in this site : club brugge are very true and right for wanting highest bid for jashari but when ACM do that to bennacer , they will say ACM villain. Stop the double standard. Bennacer only want go free transfer, stop defending him, from beginning he is just using ACM as stepping stone ( he is asking low release clause 50m euro and forcing ACM to accept that) . Look at his attitude last season, asking to leave at deadline day ???
@someone what’s your own? Annoying you how? So he has no decision of his own? Do you think European life is same as Asia?
So relax brother. All you want is for him to move his family to Asia right and Milan collects 20m without caring if his family is comfortable?
🤣🤣🤣🤣 Y
Y’all dont have to become like Redbird in their slimy sh!tty ways. That is not good role model behaviour from them. ‘let him rot in the Futuro’ isn’t a classy or professional move by the club, it’s downright childish if I’m being honest. Neither does it help to move players on, which is exactly what you’re trying to do anyway. They were the ones that contracted him for a period of time for a certain amount of wages to play in the first team, not the Futuro. It’s a disgusting way to treat players and screams of throwing the toys out the pram vibes because they can’t get it their way ie they want more money.
Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara negotiating his contract and signing him to an extention…so when you say “they”…Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara were at one time under the employment of Redbird but were removed because they made some very poor financial decisions and would only accept the job with final say on financials.
Letting him play with Futuro would likely be for the best because he can help the young guys with training and isn’t part of the first team plans. It also means that if he wants to play first team football, his agents are inclined to help find a team that will pay his salary. I don’t not see this discourse around Origi who has every right to take the money that was offered to him…These burdens are very really to the financial health of the club.
More money means not getting banned from CL even with a top 4 finish. The squad has broke even each season with CL money and selling Tonali, then Reijnders, that means net 100M in sales roughly (on the low end) at the end of the season will get the squad to a number under -60M which keeps them CL eligible. More money right now means sustaining the club and not having to make more than 100M in sales at the end of the season.
RedBird clowns acting like offended little b*tches because a player who helped us win Scudetto is suddenly persona non grata and doesn’t accept force move to that camel jockey league. Serves them right.
Well, the camel jockey league is the only league that wants him.
Also, he was the one that forced his way out of Milan, if you remember.
Not true. Milan was trying to sell him from 1st of July last summer. The problem is that there weren’t offers with his injury recovery…
#freeBennacer …ammi right boys? 🤭
Free Bennacer is right.
Milan is more than willing to free him, the problem is that not many teams want him. 🤭
Maybe they don’t want him at Milans price? Maybe for 3M there would be 26 clubs interested?
Well, if Milan sweeten the pot and gives another team 3 m on top of gifting them Bennacer, there will be 26 clubs that would be interested in him.
In the meantime, the measly 10 mil that Milan asks for Bennacer, no team in Europe wants to pay, where he wants to stay, reportedly .
He is a finished player who will be nothing but a burden on Milan’s books until his contract expires a la Origi.
The cripple can rot on the bench.
Highest paid Milan player. He will sure rot. 🤣🤣🤣🤣 You’re such a fool of a person.
I don’t care what you guys think of me, but I think that Bennacer is the guy who is supposed to be demoted to the futuro squad instead of Adli
The one who writes that they wanted to sell him is not telling the truth, because Fonseka saw him as an important player. Then he went to the national team in September and got injured. He came back and argued in January with Conseissa and asked on the last day of the transfer window to go to Marseille. He got a kick in the ass from Marseille and came back. If he hadn’t insisted on leaving, but if the club wanted to get rid of him, he would now be back in the team and training. If he doesn’t want to leave, he risks Milan Futuro or the stands. And now I’m listening to how he helped us win the Scudetto. And Kessie helped and left us. You should not live on merit. Benaser is not so innocent in this story.
Said it since they renewed him and let Kessie walk, they kept the wrong man. He is soft on the field and has a weak attitude/mentality off of it.
He can pass well and find space when someone else does the groundwork for him. He isn’t strong enough, durable, lacks the stamina to see through tough games and isn’t quick enough physically to be your number one midfielder.
He crumbles under pressure against stronger opponents. Everyone applauded him and I said this man is weak. He hasn’t had two consistent strong seasons where he could be relied on and stay healthy. Tonali and Kessie made him look way better than he actually was. We kept the cheaper player and you see the result. He is compromised in every sense of the word.
It’s very unfortunate for Milan that Isma is refusing to leave for 20M. He is finished as a player after a long string of injuries and if he doesn’t leave, he will become another payroll burden like Origi.
I can understand that someone might not want to move his family to Saudi Arabia. We can’t force him to accept that. However his attitude last summer of asking to leave on the last day of the window was despicable. He doesn’t love AC Milan like he should, and when I see a player with this kind of attitude, I hope we get rid of him regardless of his quality, and it’s much worse when that quality is thoroughly gone like in the case of Bennacer.
Yeah, sure, sure, he contributed to the Scudetto season; but he is now a shadow of his former self, and it’s even debatable if he was that good back then, because he was helped by having two excellent players with him in that midfield, Tonali and Kessié. And then, came the injuries, which finished destroying Bennacer.
I really hope we find a way to offload him, but it doesn’t look good when no European club seems to want him, and he rejects an offer from Saudi Arabia. It seems like we’re stuck with him.
Blacklist him. No training and no association with the team whatsoever. Ruin his career if he won’t accept a move.
