Vitiello: Milan in negotiations over De Ketelaere – the aim is to lower the asking price

AC Milan are pushing ahead with their attempts to sign Charles De Ketelaere from Club Brugge, according to one journalist.

Anto Vitiello of MilanNews is reporting on Twitter that new confirmations have arrived regarding Milan’s pursuit of De Ketelaere. He adds that the aim of the management is to lower the demands of the Belgian club quickly as a precursor to hopefully closing the operation.

Vitiello also mentions that the 21-year-old is viewed as a signing for the playmaker role, one where Stefano Pioli struggled to find consistency from Brahim Diaz and Franck Kessie last season, but De Ketelaere can also play on the right wing if necessary.

There is some information on Alessandro Florenzi too: the Rossoneri are moving towards an agreement with Roma with a discount on the option to buy agreed last summer between the clubs. The dialogue is ‘progressing well’ as per the journalist.
