In a shocking revelation today, a journalist in Argentina has claimed that AC Milan are making a move for a former Roma midfielder.

It is no secret that Ruben Amorim wants another midfielder to arrive at Milanello this summer. The ideal was Morten Hjulmand, but it now seems that the attention has turned to his Danish teammate, Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg.

Now, though, a new name has emerged…

A questionable new name

As can be seen in the video below, on an ESPN Argentina broadcast, Arevalo Martin stated that the Rossoneri have made a ‘significant offer’ for former Roma midfielder Leandro Paredes, as MilanNews relays. After an up-and-down World Cup, it would certainly be an intriguing deal.

Considering what is perhaps ‘needed’ in the team, it is debatable whether the Argentine would provide an upgrade on what is available.

However, Martin did admit that ‘he didn’t know the price or what the midfielder’s intentions might be’. So, we’ll have to see…

  1. NAHHHH. Out of all the transfer rumours this is the worst option. He is GENUIENLY bored of football, a troublemaker and that kind of behaviour is what Leao did ×10 but ALL THE TIME. Hopefully it stays a rumour.

  2. No, thanks.

    Van Dijk/Inacio (Tomori), Guerreiro/Ruggeri/Cambiaso (Estupinan), Goretzka/Kessie (Ricci & Musah & Bondo), Soule/Diaz (Leao & RLC) & Lukaku/Icardi (Gimenez);

  3. Noooo thats the worst thing that could happen right now. After what he did in the final at the World Cup I genuinely think he should banned from even playing football

  4. I’d bet there is no offer. Of course not impossible but I don’t see a point in having 9 midfielders for 2 positions. Sell 5 of them first!

  5. I actually like this idea. We’d benefit from a dirty DM which Inter always had. There was little presence of such sort in midfield for years, De Jong alike.

      1. How insulting to Van Bommel. Paredes is a joke of a player.

        As a Spaniard, I would be irritated with this clown joining this team. He’s cooked as a player. He lashed out because he was so bad against Spain. Imagine him under pressure in any major game.

    1. But we don’t have the referee/federation protection that Argentina (and sometimes Inter) has. So I don’t know how useful a scoundrel like Paredes would be to us.

  6. He’s a vile awful disgusting person. Paredes has no place in Italian football. He’s not even skilled. Forget him.

    He probably will punch Mario Gila for simply being Spanish.

  7. I dont want see this disaster man and player at club. Also i dont want see any argentinian player here. They are not football players,always complain and play dirty.
