AC Milan were a team that was in the Scudetto discussion a few weeks ago, but now they are in relegation form.
La Gazzetta dello Sport write that Milan – who want to finish fourth at least – are actually fourth-last. Remember the derby win in early March, when everyone was talking about the Scudetto race being re-opened and Inter being within reach?

Since then, Massimiliano Allegri’s men have earned seven points in eight games, an average close to relegation. In this period of approximately two months, Milan are fourth-last in the league table for points accrued.
Only Hellas Verona (two points), Pisa (three) and Lecce (five) have done worse than the Rossoneri in this period, Milan then follow, along with Cagliari and Cremonese who also have seven points.
Who would be first in that bimonthly ranking? Inter, along with Juventus, who have 18 points each. Roma are third with 16, followed by Como, Lazio, Udinese and Torino with 14. That is all of Milan’s top four rivals.
The Rossoneri’s slowdown is impressive: just when they should have accelerated to seal a top four spot, they stopped getting any points. Now they need six from six to get Champions League, and does that really feel likely at the moment?

In the same 8 games our goals record is 6GF 12 GA. And 5 games where we failed to score a goal. More than half the games!
Of those 6 goals. Only 1 ( Nkunku penalty) was scored by a forward. The other goals are Pavlovic, Rabiot 2 and Fofana 1.
It would be a remarkable turnaround to get 6 points in the last 2 games.
And yet, apparently Allegri is at no fault for this.
Regardless of what happens in the next 2 games, he cannot be Milan’s coach next season.

I’m sure he’s gone. It would be one thing if we were getting flogged in the UCL, but we’re not even in the UCL and can’t beat random Serie A teams. Sure these players aren’t PSG or Bayern Munich level, but they’re so much better than they’re showing. At the end of the day, what’s going to please Allergi? :

That’s over €140+ million (depending on how much you value Leao) he can’t get a tune out of. It’s much easier to replace the coach. Anyone who thinks management won’t fire the coach due to a severance package is pushing an agenda. That’s not how these people operate.
But one has to say how unlucky are we to not score the chances that have been created. Nkunku could have score 2 more plus the penalty. Fofana decided to pass it instead of shooting.
It’s insanse that the 2 goals came from a penalty and from Pavlovic. We have yet to score from a striker from open play
We were unlucky in the first half of the season, when we dominated teams and had more chances. In the second half of the season, the chances have dried up.

LOL!!!!!!!!!!!! Just go back to reading the comments after each match to see how everyone said “we played an awful match but got lucky and won”. That was literally the whole first half of the season.
