AC Milan officials continue to be left impressed by the performances of Ruben Loftus-Cheek who they saw first hand during last week’s game against Chelsea, a report claims.
According to the latest from Matt Law in the Telegraph, Milan showed a ‘strong interest’ in signing Loftus-Cheek during the most recent summer transfer window, believing that Chelsea might well be open to selling him even if he enjoyed the faith of former boss Thomas Tuchel.

However, Milan’s interest was ‘quickly curtailed’ by the English midfielder’s Covid-19 vaccination status, because players are required to be vaccinated to play in Serie A. There are no such restrictions for the Champions League though, so he should start at San Siro tonight and can impress first hand again.
Milan officials attended the post-match gathering hosted by Chelsea co-owners Todd Boehly and Behdad Eghbali last week and they are said to have waxed lyrical about Loftus-Cheek’s performance.
The Rossoneri management ‘are well aware’ that Loftus-Cheek’s deal expires in June 2024 and if there were a change in the vaccine rules for Serie A, then talks would begin with Chelsea and with the player’s entourage.
Meanwhile, the 26-year-old is merely focusing on continuing his excellent start to the season and is enjoying the faith of new boss Graham Potter, with the ultimate aim of securing an England recall in time for the Qatar World Cup this winter.
Very good player and would do well for us. Earns the same as Ibra though and is unlikely to take a pay cut. Hopefully he is a good mate of Giroud and Tomori and they can help.

I don’t think that Ruben Loftus-Cheek is match with Maldini’s Transfer style. Luftus-Cheek will only possible to buy if Bennacer sold & ACM need urgently a senior pivot.
Maldini always find young players who has space to grow, not a prime player. The experienced players only bought for their experiences & mentality and that experienced players always a player that had win many things before (like Zlatan & Giroud).
