GdS: Milan targeting €40m forward as part of potential triple raid on Lille

AC Milan do not want to be caught unprepared in case Zlatan Ibrahimovic retires and they are looking at long-term options for the centre-forward role, a report claims.

La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanLive) talks about how Noa Lang of Club Brugge and Alexander Isak of Real Sociedad are targets for the role, however they also spoke of another striker who has been identified by Milan as ideal for the post-Ibrahimovic era: Jonathan David.

David currently plays for Lille and Milan could use their excellent relations with the Ligue 1 club as leverage if they decided to pursue a deal, especially given that they are also expected to try and sign midfielder Renato Sanches and defender Sven Botman in the summer too.

The Canada international has 16 goals in 30 games across all competitions this season in what has been a difficult campaign domestically for Les Dogues as they are in mid-table. It is no surprise therefore that PSG are also keen on David, with the 22-year-old having an asking price of €40m.
