The Brazilian playmaker scooped the prestigious prize after an incredible 2006-07 campaign that saw him lead Milan to Champions League glory after the win in the rematch against Liverpool in Athens.
He is still the most recent Milan player to win the prize – awarded every year by France Football – and Milan reminded him of his achievement on Twitter.
