PM: Milan considering move for Man Utd winger as alternative to €35m-rated Berardi

AC Milan are considering an attempt to sign Jesse Lingard on a free transfer to bolster their attacking options, according to a report.

PianetaMilan report that there are reflections underway regarding whether Domenico Berardi is worth the €35m that Sassuolo want for him given he will turn 28 this year and has not convinced much outside of his ‘comfort zone’ at Sassuolo.

That is why Jesse Lingard of Manchester United is also being considered as an option, given his contract is about to expire and he doesn’t seem to have much intention of renewing with the Red Devils as he would prefer to play more continuously.

He is 29 years of age but with no transfer fee involved this is more in line with the ideas of the management, and he currently earns around €4.5m net per season which – taking advantage of the Growth Decree tax relief scheme – means the Rossoneri would not incur excessive spending.

Even if it may seem trivial, Lingard had a visit as a tourist in recent days to the city of Milan where he was pictured with Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
