Journalist claims Milan have had ‘more than just talks’ with Belotti over summer move

AC Milan have had more than one discussion with Andrea Belotti over a contract for next season, according to the journalist Tancredi Palmeri.

There is a big dilemma to solve when it comes to Milan’s attack next season given that Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s contract expires and even if he renews he will turn 41, while Olivier Giroud will turn 36 this year and Marko Lazetic is just 18 without a single minute of action.

That is why Paolo Maldini and Frederic Massara cannot help but look around while waiting for news on Ibrahimovic’s future and also to perhaps seek a ready-made centre-forward to come in and offer physical guarantees.

Belotti’s name is one that continues to be heavily linked with Milan given his contract expires at the end of the season and he is a boyhood fan of the club. The journalist Tancredi Palmeri was a guest on the Twitch channel of Serie A News, and he gave some interesting information.

“There is no pre-agreement but they are more than just talks, they have already spoken three times to find an agreement,” he said (via MilanNews).
