Tuttosport: Pursuit of Liverpool man sees Milan move away from Belotti idea

AC Milan are moving away from signing Andrea Belotti on a free transfer because they seem to have opted for Divock Origi, a report claims.

According to Tuttosport (via SempreMilan.it), the sudden acceleration for Origi means that Milan are concentrating all their energy on signing him for the attack, meaning Belotti is moving away from the Rossoneri’s orbit.

The free transfer idea is attractive to Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara, who would be able to bring home a player of European caliber while also saving transfer funds, and the 26-year-old is the man they are focusing on over Belotti.

Belotti will leave Torino and has always been considered as a target for Milan, but it seems he no longer tempts the leaders quite as much as he did before such as back in 2017 when a big offer was made. Given he is a boyhood fan of the club, Belotti is understood to have been holding out for the Rossoneri.
