For another summer in a row – keeping track at this point is difficult – Milan are heading into it with a need to reset, even if this group manages to qualify for the Champions League at the end of the season.
Indeed, the loss to Atalanta further proved the holes within the squad and answers are needed.
Above answers, though, action is needed. As Gazzetta dello Sport writes, failing that would allow the Rossoneri to ‘make a fool of themselves’ in Europe next season.
Milan needing another reset… again
The report follows the latest wounding defeat and whilst everyone else is picking up, at least in terms of form, the Diavolo are only getting worse. They must beat Genoa and Cagliari to confirm a top-four place. Even then, would they deserve it? Probably not.
Only a few months ago, such questions would be laughed at. However, Milan are sat looking at one of the biggest bottles of recent years.
Looking at the current group, Gazzetta states that they would ‘tarnish’ the club’s reputation in Europe if nothing changed in the next few months. Indeed, a few players and Massimiliano Allegri are needed out, at least in their view.
