The work of Moncada has rightly been widely praised, given the former Monaco scout – who discovered talents such as Kylian Mbappe – has been largely responsible for identifying hidden gems like Pierre Kalulu and more recently Malick Thiaw, who have become established starters despite arriving on bargain deals.
According to Calciomercato.com, Gerry Cardinale and RedBird know that Moncada’s work is crucial and for this reason they have decided to speed up his renewal, which is now one step away from becoming official.
Moncada was highly regarded by the previous owners Elliott Management and that opinion remains unchanged with the new owners, who have reached an agreement with Moncada to extend his contract which otherwise would have ended in July.
There was interest from clubs abroad who were monitoring Moncada’s situation, but instead his adventure with the Rossoneri is destined to continue.
