AC Milan are big admirers of Kerim Alajbegović and their interest pre-dates the appointment of the new management.
One of the areas that Milan are believed to be trying to strengthen in view of 2026-27 are the attacking midfielder roles in Ruben Amorim’s 3-4-2-1. Christian Pulisic and Christopher Nkunku seem safe, but Rafael Leao’s departure could open up the slot for a new arrival.

According to Nicolo Schira, Alajbegović is among Milan’s targets for the attack. The directors are ready to open negotiations with Bayer Leverkusen, who bought him back from Red Bull Salzburg at the end of the last campaign.
Schira even goes on to add that there were positive first talks with Alajbegović’s agents regarding the move. Not only that, but Milan have been ‘in action since March’, when Geoffrey Moncada monitored him during Wales-Bosnia.
Zlatan’s push
Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s words on the teenager certainly added fuel to the rumours. The Swede commented with great admiration on the performance of young Alajbegovic in Bosnia-Qatar on Fox Sports.
“The whole world is talking about the goal, but for me the goal isn’t the most important thing. The most important thing is courage. An 18-year-old boy in a World Cup, under pressure, in front of millions of spectators, plays as if he owns the stadium,” he said.
“That’s rare. He’s not the typical young player who just hoped to have a good game. He thought he was the best player on the pitch. The shot was beautiful, yes. The technique was perfect, yes. But what impressed me was his confidence before the goal.

I don’t know what i fear more- the fact Nkunku will be a starter or this kid. Dont get me wrong, i would love we sign him but being 18 after a few good performances in WC and only played proffesionaly in Austria isnt what we need. I said it in some other article- it would be a good thing we sign him IF we had pulisic leao and nkunku all scoring 20+ goals, but coming from few consecutive bad seasons, 2 years without CL and needing results NOW, i dont thin we should sign him right now. Maybe if they sell Leao and sigh him alongside someone like Dybala or Pellegrini, then sure.
Btw- Cisse is coming from loan after great season. So why spend 30+ mil if we maybe have an equal or even better player inhouse + italian

Can’t you read? No one said he is better, but they are simillar ages and Cisse iis already here so he knows Italian style of play.

The Bosnian kid knows the Italian style of football too because he was running circles around Italian players in the game when He and his NT knocked Italy out. He also played at the World Cup.
Why’s this argument “knows Italian style of play” living rent free in so many minds anymore??
It’s baffling. It’s meaningless.
Is this “Italian style of play” bearing any results in real world in the last two decades maybe? Or maybe we should hire the coach who’s really experienced with “Italian style of play” so we can thrive?
P.S. Nothing against the Cisse or any other of our own talents. On contrary, i would love to see more integration of our youngsters. But this baseless thin air argument of so called advantage of knowing the “Italian style of play” should perish.
