One journalist has claimed that AC Milan are interested in signing striker Artem Dovbyk from AS Roma this summer.

In fact, during his press conference to journalists at Casa Milan, Milan’s new sporting director Tare confirmed that the Rossoneri are looking for a striker who has almost the same physical and technical characteristics as Olivier Giroud.

According to Rome-based journalist Attilio Malena (via MilanNews) – who spoke to Retesport – Milan have shown interest in Dovbyk of Roma. He is a name that is highly regarded by Massimiliano Allegri , who really likes the Ukrainian’s physical and technical characteristics.
In the last few hours, the idea of an exchange with Santiago Gimenez has emerged, who would move to join the Giallorossi just months after his €32m move from Feyenoord.
Sky reported last night that Milan and Roma have indeed held talks but over a goalkeeper swap deal, so could another exchange be on the cards? Dovbyk, who is 28 years of age, has 17 goals in 45 games for the capital club.
