Mike Maignan and Adrien Rabiot are both expected to be rested in France’s final game of the international break, which is great news for AC Milan.

While it’s nice to see so many Milan players called up for international duty, a total of 13 players, there is also some worry attached to that feeling. Indeed, the Rossoneri will be up against Napoli next and thus need their stars in good condition, which the international duties put at risk.

It doesn’t help that several of Milan’s stars are playing the friendly games in the United States, which means long travel distances and jet lag. It’s something that Luca Bianchin highlighted earlier today, but it doesn’t have to be bad news.

Rest on the cards

According to Le Parisien, after playing the friendly against Brazil from start to finish, Mike Maignan and Adrien Rabiot are both expected to be rested against Colombia tomorrow. That should give them enough time to recharge their batteries ahead of the Napoli game.

Another good thing is that the clash against the Partenopei actually won’t be played at the weekend, but rather on Easter Monday. Either way, it certainly would have been better for the players to stay in Europe and not travel so much, especially since it’s just for friendlies.

It remains to be seen if the other Milan players will get rest in the second game too. The more the better!
