There is not much time to enjoy the success against Verona on Sunday, because the Rossoneri will play their first game of the new year on Friday January 2 against a Cagliari side that seem to always be a tough away opponent.

MilanNews report that a recovery session was scheduled today, as is customary after matches. Particular attention is being paid, naturally, to Rafael Leao and Matteo Gabbia, the two players out of action who have the best chance of returning to the squad in Sardinia.

Leao trained on the pitch with those who didn’t play yesterday or played very little. As for Gabbia, he continued to work on recovering from a knee injury. For bother players, tomorrow’s training session will be more indicative ahead of the game in five days.

The schedule for the next few days includes training tomorrow morning at 11:30am. On Wednesday, the last day of the year, the Rossoneri will be on the pitch for a final training session in the early afternoon.

Massimiliano Allegri’s press conference is scheduled for the first day of 2026 before the team’s departure for Cagliari.
