GdS: Milan want to strike deal with Real Madrid after Pioli sings playmaker’s praises

AC Milan intend to try and buy Brahim Diaz from Real Madrid at the end of the season and Stefano Pioli’s words at his pre-match press conference seemed to confirm it.

As La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanNews) report this morning, Brahim Diaz has firmly fought off the competition of the big money summer signing Charles De Ketelaere to make a starting spot his alongside Rafael Leao in support of Olivier Giroud.

The Spanish playmaker is currently in his third season on loan at Milan and Pioli was full of praise for him in his press conference yesterday: “He is a complete player, of great quality, inspiration, work, sacrifice. I work very well with Brahim, he’s doing very well. We’re only in March, then we’ll see.”

According to the paper, the Rossoneri management are planning to sign Brahim on a permanent basis and will hold talks with Real Madrid ahead of the summer window amid the talk of having a €22m option to buy but with Los Blancos having a buy-back clause as part of the two-year loan agreement back in 2021.
