Late last night, it was reported that AC Milan are once again pushing significantly to sign Mario Gila this summer.
With Igli Tare and Massimiliano Allegri’s departures, it seemed Milan stepped back from the race to sign Gila. Indeed, the relationship between the Spaniard and Albanian was seen as a big draw. So, his departure understandably had an effect on their chances.

In the meantime, Napoli made ground and quickly became favourites with Allegri’s push to sign him at his new club. However, it is not done…
Milan back in the Gila race
Now, Gianluca Di Marzio reports that the Rossoneri are back in contention to sign the defender with whom they were infatuated under the previous management structure. Indeed, they made a ‘strong push’ for him on Thursday night after a day of meetings at Casa Milan.
It seemed like he was heading to Napoli, but this has caused a shake-up in the race, certainly. Contacts have already taken place with his agents and a first official offer being sent to Lazio cannot be ruled out.
The aim is simple: they want to outpace the Partenopei, who already have a draft agreement in place with the central defender. Nevertheless, it now appears to be a head-to-head and whoever pays the €30 million fee can have him in Lazio’s eyes.

Would be perfect but I think we are late.
He is fast, aggressive, good with the ball and a leader. Can play both center and right of a back 3.
On point analysis! Perfect player for Amorim and a high-pressing style of play
With his serie A experience, he would be my first choice over Inacio who would cost more, would need to adapt and is left footed ( we already have Pavlovic)
Pavlovic-Inacio-Gila
Maignan
this at the is are just nasty… Tomori, can be the sacrificial lamb;
We mentioned him somewhere yesterday. I thought that with Tare’s departure, his possible transfer fell through! Regardless of the fact that his contract with Lazio expires in a year, when we look at the prices of other potential reinforcements in that position, those 30 million (for such a player) now doesn’t seem like such a lot.
This is the kind of player and transfer we need. A Serie-A tested and proven
Come on Cardinal, Get this one over the line. just quick quick like Ramos. Then we can take it easy, sell and look for other positions players with time but Good Goalies, defenders and strikers are hard to find. Midfield the market is flooded.
Signing Gila would be a great signing but signing Chris Richards would be huge. He’s quicker as strong with a high football IQ. A better signing if European club champions is the ultimate goal. For those with a short memory Italy was eliminated by BH in March due to their inability to hold onto the lead playing 1 man down. Fast forward 4 months and the US team playing with 10 score a goal and impose their will against BH. Chris Richards has another audition this coming Monday against Belgium if you need more evidence.
Good addition if it can be done.
