Last summer, there was a rush to get a sporting director. A process that was expected to take a month or two stretched out beyond that, yet it could’ve been much, much shorter. Indeed, Tare was appreciated early on, but a decision did not arrive until May.
This was due to the involvement from Giorgio Furlani in the process. Yet, after making a few attempts at other names, he found his way back to Tare. Speaking brutally, the situation was a mess.
Since then, things have not improved much and there are still suggestions of the management being dysfunctional. Indeed, it has gotten to the point where Gerry Cardinale will now evaluate different positions before the end of the season.
Milan’s interest remains
Tare, as reports suggest, is one who could move on. It was stated that the Albanian’s relationship with Milan never took off as it was hoped that it could. So, he could be on the way.
Whether it is as a result of his potential exit, or even if he does not leave voluntarily, Nicolo Schira reports that the Rossoneri have an interest in Atalanta’s Tony D’Amico.
Last season, the Italian’s name was extremely popular and Furlani tried for a while to get him to leave Bergamo. However, he could not bring the Atalanta man to Casa Milan, at least not then.
Whether this will progress into anything more than interest is something else entirely. However, if Tare is to depart with the hope of replacing him, rather than waiting for a confirmed replacement, it would surely be a setback.
