With the season that Milan had, the aims for next season must be met. To do so, it seems that plans from previous years will be abandoned, and the Rossoneri will go for more experienced names to immediately buff out the squad.
A new fantastic five?
According to Daniele Longo, once sales are completed, the work will begin on the incomings. Luka Modric is already expected to arrive, but it is unknown whether that is being factored into this group of five players.
It starts with a ‘guaranteed’ double-digit striker, a route that surely leads towards Dusan Vlahovic, rather than someone like Darwin Nunez. Following that, there is a need for two new midfielders: a box-to-box player and a ‘balancer’, perhaps this refers to Granit Xhaka.
Then, the Diavolo hope to add two full-backs, one for each side. Theo Hernandez could depart – the situation is difficult currently – and Kyle Walker has already departed back to Manchester. So, two new additions will be needed, though it will be intriguing to see if starters are recruited. In both cases, you would assume yes.
