Tuttosport: Milan could sell unconvincing Ballo-Toure and replace him with France U21 international

AC Milan are not convinced by summer signing Fode Ballo-Toure and are already looking at his potential replacement, a report claims.

Nobody knew too much about Ballo-Toure after his summer signing from Monaco and bar a good performance against Bologna he has certainly not been quite what Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara hoped for. He gave away a penalty in the derby draw against Inter and he has been taken off at half-time in a couple of games.

According to Tuttosport (via MilanNews), Ballo-Touré has not completely convinced so far and for this reason Milan are considering selling the Senegal international in the summer.

If so, then a new deputy to Theo Hernandez will be signed – especially given Milos Kerkez’s departure to AZ Alkmaar – and a name that teases the directors a lot is that of Adrien Truffert, a 20-year-old left-back who plays for Stade Rennais and the French Under 21 team.

Of course there is still time for Ballo-Toure to prove everyone wrong, but he is currently still at the African Cup of Nations despite being injured for two more weeks when Milan could do with him given Theo is one yellow away from suspension.
