AC Milan are not convinced by summer signing Fode Ballo-Toure and are already looking at his potential replacement, a report claims.
Nobody knew too much about Ballo-Toure after his summer signing from Monaco and bar a good performance against Bologna he has certainly not been quite what Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara hoped for. He gave away a penalty in the derby draw against Inter and he has been taken off at half-time in a couple of games.
According to Tuttosport (via MilanNews), Ballo-Touré has not completely convinced so far and for this reason Milan are considering selling the Senegal international in the summer.
If so, then a new deputy to Theo Hernandez will be signed – especially given Milos Kerkez’s departure to AZ Alkmaar – and a name that teases the directors a lot is that of Adrien Truffert, a 20-year-old left-back who plays for Stade Rennais and the French Under 21 team.
Of course there is still time for Ballo-Toure to prove everyone wrong, but he is currently still at the African Cup of Nations despite being injured for two more weeks when Milan could do with him given Theo is one yellow away from suspension.

Last year people were overly critical about Tonali as well, turned out he just needed time to adjust. Ballo-Toure had even less play time and he has Theo he has to measure up too. He is young and has room to grow, he might yet turn out to be a decent signing, I wouldn’t dismiss him just yet.
He has 25 years old already, not young anymore. But him a chance for the rest of the season.
25 is not young? I must be getting old.
16 (Donnarumma) is young. 9 years later you should be on top of your game & Ballo-Toure isn’t.
Verdict: Sell.
16 is child, and Gigio is an exception to the rule. There were only a handful of players in the entire football history that played on the level Gigio or Messi for example did at that age.
24-25 they are only at the begging of what should be their prime years, and there is still have years to grow. Especially now that more and more players keep playing passed 35.
Young players play for U-21 football teams. 25 cannot be considered as “young” by football measures.
Being 25 & playing for AC Milan & being “unconvincing” at the same time means only one thing — you are surplus requirements.
This is a no brainer, should the club can materialize the sale & arrange a replacement with a better player.
Alternatively, we can wait for Ballo-Toure’s value drop to zero and wait until his contract will run out, so he can leave on Bosman, like everybody else.

Yes, I agree. They should take more responsibility for the news they transmit.
