CorSport: Milan left waiting for a response from defender after €3m-a-year offer

AC Milan are awaiting response from Alessio Romagnoli having made him an offer to extend his contract, according to a report.

This morning’s edition of il Corriere dello Sport (via MilanNews) talks about the negotiations for the renewal of Alessio Romagnoli, whose contract with the Rossoneri will expire in June. The captain has been offered €3m net per season to extend the current deadline beyond next June, which is half of what he currently receives.

Romagnoli has not yet given an answer to the management regarding the bid and they therefore remain on hold waiting for a response, and may of course have to plan for his possible departure.

Romagnoli joined from Roma back in the summer of 2015 and he instantly established himself as one of the first names on the team sheet, even getting the captain’s armband, but he has struggled in 2021 having lost his place as a guaranteed starter following Fikayo Tomori’s arrival.
