Liberali had a strange 2024-25 season, much like his team-mate Francesco Camarda. He dazzled in the preseason tour of the United States and got some first team minutes, but ultimately shuttled between Milan Futuro and the Primavera side.

Not only that, but his contract expires in 12 months and there has been nothing to suggest a renewal is imminent, despite Igli Tare’s public admiration. In fact, recent reports have actually claimed that he is more likely to leave the club than sign a long-term deal, which would feel like a shame.

“Milan, it is expected that Mattia Liberali will be called up by Massimiliano Allegri for the summer training camp, but as of today, the outlook on his future remains unchanged: efforts are underway for a permanent transfer,” he said.

“Parma, Lecce, Spezia, and a few other teams from Serie A and B are interested in him. The decision will be made in the coming weeks.”
