Niclas Fullkrug might not be the only striker that AC Milan sign in the January transfer window, according to a report.

Milan have had some problems in the attacking department in this first part of the season, with Christopher Nkunku and Santiago Gimenez both having not scored a league goal yet. The latter is expected to be out for a couple of months after having undergone an operation to fix his ankle.

Zirkzee as well?

According to Luca Marchetti – who spoke live on Sky (via MilanNews) – Fullkrug might not be the only centre-forward to arrive. The deal for the German is now almost complete on loan with an option to buy, with the Rossoneri having decided to secure a deal immediately following Gimenez’s ankle surgery.

The journalist adds that the Rossoneri – should an exit like Christopher Nkunku’s occur – could pursue Manchester United’s Joshua Zirkzee. He is believed to be on his way out of Old Trafford, and was linked during his time at Bologna.

In this case, there would be multiple difficulties: a solution would need to be found for Nkunku, Roma are very keen on the Dutchman, who is their top target, and Manchester United’s financial demands will not be easy to meet.

  1. Every player that flopped in man utd. then went to another club which he found his form
I dont say. He is not the type of player milan needs but we need goals so facts are facts

    1. Problem is that Zirkzee wasn’t ever that good. Even when he was at his best at Bologna, he didn’t seem like a Milan quality player at all and I was persanally happy that he chose United over us…

      1. exactly. I think Højlund showed more promise in serie A. Even he, is fairly one dimensional. But i guess our other option is Frulkung.

        1. Definitelt. Højlund was a rough diamond everyone saw it. He also has some very clear and obvious strengths that makes him easy to implement into most teams. Meanwhile, Zirkzee is another one of those ambiguous “strikers” who can do a bit of everything but none of it on a high level…

  2. True he was never a world class player. Reminds me of Piatek. 1 or 2 decent seasons then people praise them like they world class. I wouldnt mind a swap deal for him with Nkunku. it would make sense and im sure united would thrive with Nkunku in thier team.

    1. I wouldnt say thrive at united. BUT in a swap deal everyone wins. Players get a fresh start and new scene. Clubs get another player to try. What’s the worst that can happen? lol Both underperform. Well, they are underperforming right now anyway.
