GdS: Milan want Chelsea outcast on loan with option to buy – the hurdle to overcome

AC Milan have not given up on their plan to sign Hakim Ziyech from Chelsea and they remain interested in a loan deal, a report claims.

La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanNews) reports that Ziyech does not seem to be in the plans of Chelsea at present given that in the current Premier League season he has only one start to his name and is yet to score.

Milan have been interested since the summer, and the most likely transfer formula remains that of a loan with option to buy, however the same obstacle remains that Ziyech earns €6m net per season with the London club.

That is an amount that Milan do not intend to spend on a player under temporary contract, so the player must decide to reduce his salary if he joins on loan, while discussions must obviously take place with Chelsea although relations between the clubs are excellent.

The 29-year-old would more than likely be a starter at Milan given he can play as a right winger and as an attacking midfielder with great technical quality and unpredictability. Now he is focused on reaching the last 16 with Morocco, and after that his future will be discussed.
