The Rossoneri took top spot in Group E with a 3-1 win against Dinamo Zagreb at San Siro last night as goals from Olivier Giroud (penalty), Alexis Saelemaekers and Tommaso Pobega were enough to earn a first Champions League home win in over nine years.

MilanNews reports that Pioli had granted the squad a day of rest after last night’s Champions League win, but despite this, almost all the players showed up at Milanello to carry out unloading work and massages.

It is a sign from the squad just how committed they are to continue the momentum that another excellent start to the season has generated. There is also a very important game to begin preparing for, as Napoli – who are also in red hot form – come to San Siro on Sunday.
